Prof. Dott. F. Festa Lectures in 50° SIDO International Congress           

Presidente SIDO 2013, Professore Ordinario in Ortodonzia e Gnatologia e Direttore della Scuola di Specializzazione di Ortodonzia all’Università “G. D’Annunzio” Università di Chieti-Pescara. Area di Ricerca e clinica sono la diagnosi e terapia ATM per i pazienti ortodontici, Antropologia del Genoma in Ortodonzia, dispositivi self-ligating low friction, analisi volumetrica 3D CBCT, cellule staminali della muscolatura striata. Ha scritto più di 100 articoli su riviste internazionali e varie monografie. Il Prof. Festa è ‘Past Co-Editor di Progress in Orthodontics (PIO) e European Journal of Clinical Orthodontics (EJCO). Direttore del Master in ATM, Ortodonzia e Tecnologie Digitali.
Prof. Felice Festa, 2013 SIDO President, is Full Professor in Orthodontics and Gnatology and Director of Specialty School in Orthodontics at “G. d’Annunzio” Chieti-Pescara University. Clinical and research area are TMJ diagnosis/therapy for orthodontic patients, Genomic Anthropology for Orthodontics, self-ligating low friction appliances, 3D CBCT volume analysis, striated muscle stem cells. He has written over 100 papers on international journals and a number of monographs. Prof. Festa is Past Co-Editor of Progress in Orthodontics (PIO) and European Journal of Clinical Orthodontics (EJCO). Director of Master in TMJ, Orthodontics and Digital Technologies.

Alla Fortezza di Basso di Firenze si è concluso sabato 13 il Congresso della SIDO, incentrato sul tema delle “Orthodontic challenges” e già definito del "Cinquantennale" (pur se ancorato alla 49° edizione). I temi trattati sono stati molti e sono state approfondite anche le ultime tendenze come il digitale in tutti i settori e l’ortodonzia fatta con allineatori invisibili. La scuola di Chieti con il Prof. Felice Festa ha partecipato numerosa come ogni anno per poter fare il punto della situazione e cercare nuovi spunti da approfondire per il futuro, consapevole di essere all’avanguardia in un settore sempre più tecnologico e competitivo.

At the Fortezza di Basso in Florence the SIDO Congress ended on Saturday 13, focusing on the theme of the "Orthodontic challenges" and already defined by the "Fifty-Year" (even if anchored to the 49th edition). The topics covered were many and the latest trends such as digital in all sectors and orthodontics made with invisible aligners were also analysed. The school of Chieti with Prof. Felice Festa has participated with many doctors and students, like every year to take stock of the situation and look for new ideas to develop for the future, aware of being at the forefront of an increasingly technological and competitive sector.
